Australia

Report scams to Scamwatch, run by the ACCC and National Anti-Scam Centre. Reports help monitor trends and warn people about emerging scams.

For cyber incidents, use ReportCyber at cyber.gov.au. If identity documents were shared, IDCARE offers free support.

United States

Report cyber-enabled fraud to the FBI's IC3 at ic3.gov — use only the official site, as the FBI has warned about spoofing sites.

Report general fraud to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov. For identity theft, use IdentityTheft.gov to create a recovery plan.

Create an FTC Identity Theft Report and a personalized recovery plan if identity documents or SSN were involved.

IC3 (FBI)

Report internet crime to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center. Use only the official ic3.gov site.

ReportFraud.ftc.gov

Report general fraud and scams to the Federal Trade Commission. Acting quickly matters if money or personal information was sent.
